This is a proactive strategy to encourage students who do not see education beyond high school as an option and might otherwise not seek out the resources available to them.
The Access to Student Programs in Reach of Everyone (ASPIRE) program at Lebanon High School is looking for volunteers. The program is designed to connect students with varying degrees of interest with volunteer advisors who will assist them with college and career planning. They will also assist with other topics such as financial aid and scholarship applications.
It is a wonderful opportunity to make an impact in a student’s life and to learn about the college application process. Volunteers are required to receive training and meet with their assigned students on a regular basis. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, contact Michele Burd at 541-451-8555, ext. 1022 or by email.
