2019 LHS Summer School Schedule
ATTENTION STUDENTS PARTICIPATING IN SUMMER SCHOOL: Summer school starts on Monday, June 10th. You will need to be in the commons by 10:00 am on Monday. Schedules will be handed out at that time.
Summer school is a privilege and is not treated like regular school days.
- Three tardies or two absences may result in removal from the program. Students must meet with Mrs. Fandiño if there are extenuating circumstances.
- Disrupting the class or other students is not acceptable. Students will be directed to Mrs. Fandiño at the first instance. If the behaviors continues the student will be removed from the program.
- Failure to make adequate progress results in removal from the program. Students will be directed to Mrs. Fandiño if benchmarks are not met. If the behaviors continues the student will be removed from the program.
- Any behavioral issues result in immediate removal from the program.
Monday – June 10th – Orientation – MANDATORY, it counts as an absence and students must meet with Mrs. Fandiño if they miss it and want to request admittance into summer school.
Orientation 10:00am – Students meet in LHS commons to hear from Mrs. Fandiño, and receive their schedules for the next day.
10:30am – Students with online classes meet in the library to hear from Ms. Fandiño and Mrs. Cummings about online summer school expectations and ensure they can log in and have access to the coursework online.
Students are free to leave when they have completed the orientation.
Tuesday, June 11th to Friday, June 28th
Period 1 – 8:00 to 9:50am
Period 2 – 10:10 to Noon
Language Arts students are here both periods in order to make up half a credit.
Math and Online students are done with summer school when proficiency markers in all assigned courses have been completed. Students may only need one period.
