Last day of school for seniors is Thursday, May 28, 2026.
Cap and Gowns will be distributed during lunch on Thursday, May 28th.
Graduation is a ticketed event. Only guests with tickets will be able to attend. Each graduate will receive their allotted amount of tickets with their cap and gown. Gates open at 5:30pm for ticketed guests. No seat saving allowed.

*The ceremony will be held outdoors…rain or shine.

* If the ceremony has to be moved indoors due to thunder & lightning, each grad will receive two (2) tickets

First Class of 2026 Senior Meeting - Thursday, September 25 during Advisory

- Senior parents, We held our first senior meeting this week. I have attached the slides for your review. At the meeting, Seniors were presented information on graduation caps and gowns, announcements, senior gear, plus a few other fun things. Jostens is the vendor we use for the caps and gowns we use for graduation. Seniors were given a packet of order information, and told to bring it home to their parent/guardian. We do have extras in the main office. Jostens has many packages available to order announcements, Class of 2026 gear, and more. The only item that is required for seniors to order is the cap and gown package, which also includes their diploma, diploma cover, and tassel for $42. This is a mandatory package for all seniors who wish to walk at the graduation ceremony. We do not allow students to wear caps or gowns from Amazon or other vendors, or from other sources (siblings, borrowed, thrift shop, etc.).
  Jostens will be here on Thursday, October 2 during lunch, and after school until 6:30pm to collect order forms. Seniors were advised that orders can be paid with cash, check, credit card or money order, made out to Jostens. Jostens also allows orders with no money down if needed. They request orders are paid in full by February 1, 2026. If you have questions about ordering or payments, please speak directly with them on October 2.
SENIOR ALL NIGHT PARTY MEETING: If you are interested in helping with the Senior All Night Party after graduation, there is a planning meeting on Wednesday, October 1 at 5:30pm in the LHS commons. This event is not school district sponsored and relies on the efforts of senior parents to make it successful.

Thursday, January 29, 2026 - Financial Aid Night 4-7 in the LHS library. Graduating class of 2026: if you are thinking about attending college or trade school, you should be completing your FAFSA application, OSAC scholarship account, and Oregon Promise application to access valuable financial aid opportunities. If you and your family need help with this, join us for Financial Aid Night on Thursday, January 29th from 4-7pm in the LHS Library. Assistance will be available (in both English and Spanish), and families are welcome to attend. All you need to bring is your social security number, tax and financial information (if not consenting to automatically pull from IRS), personal emails for your parent/guardian and yourself. LHS CLASS OF 2026 END-OF-YEAR UPDATES

Graduation Day Schedule:

· 7:30am: SENIOR BREAKFAST, Small gym (donuts)
· 8:00am: MANDATORY GRADUATION REHEARSAL, Auditorium
>> Dress casually, do not wear your cap and gown to rehearsal.
>> Do not be late. Seniors who are late or do not show up will be removed from the graduation line-up and will not participate in the ceremony.
>> Do not bring a bunch of stuff to rehearsal. Bring your cap and gown if you plan on participating in the grad walk (leave in car or auditorium). Bring a water bottle.
· 10:30am-2:00pm (approximate times): GRAD WALK
>> If you have not signed up and want to participate, please sign up today: GRAD WALK
>> Wear your cap and gown and all your cords, medals, stoles, lei’s, collars, etc. on the Grad Walk.
>> Graduates who are participating must wear their cap and gown.
>> Meet the buses in front of the gyms after grad rehearsal, dressed and ready to go.
>> We will have a snack break at Lacomb. Snacks will be provided.
>> Students who want to participate must ride the bus the entire route. Students that drive themselves will be asked to leave and may be removed from walking at graduation.
· 5:30pm: GATES OPEN
>> Guests with tickets may enter the stadium at this time via the main ticket gate.
>> As a reminder, we do not allow seat saving.
>> It is going to be hot on the field! It is typically 10-15 degrees hotter on the turf field than it is everywhere else. Drink a lot of water in the days before graduation, and encourage your guests to do the same. Guests may bring water bottles into the stadium, but no coolers or glass bottles will be allowed.
>> There is no covered seating at graduation. Guests will be out in the sun. No umbrellas or tents allowed as they block viewing.
· 5:45pm: GRADUATION LINE UP
>> Graduates should line up in gravel lot dressed and ready to go no later than 5:45pm. Wear appropriate clothing/shoes.
>> Only school pre-approved cords, collars, medals, stoles are allowed for ceremony. Those wearing other items will be asked to remove them until after the ceremony.
>> Gowns must be zipped up for the ceremony. No exceptions.
· 6:30pm: GRADUATION CEREMONY STARTS
· 8:00pm: GRADUATION CEREMONY ENDS (approximate time):
>> Once the ceremony ends, seniors will exit the stadium and gather on grass field to greet families and friends. Guests will not be released until all graduates have exited the stadium.
· CAP DECORATING:
>> If you choose to decorate your graduation cap, please remember the following guidelines: Nothing posted on the cap can violate school rules or policies; You cannot build the cap up 3-dimensionallly or have things hanging down from the cap except for the official tassel; Any phrases on your cap that could be deemed offensive or derogatory in nature will not be allowed to be worn. Phrases with hidden messages, inside jokes, etc. that could be considered offensive or derogatory will not be permitted to be worn.
>> In the event of a windy day on graduation, it is suggested that your cap be secured with bobby pins to keep it from flying off your head.
· GRADUATION GOWNS:
>> As a reminder, decorating of gowns is not allowed.
>> Only school pre-approved collars, cords, stoles, etc. may be worn during the ceremony.
>> Graduates may only wear the gown ordered thru our contracted supplier, Jostens. Gowns purchase from other sources, or borrowed will not be allowed.
>> Care of your cap and gown: The gown will be wrinkled upon taking it out of the packaging. You may place it in the dryer on low for a few minutes, but do not use a dryer sheet as it has been known to stain the gown. You can also iron the gown on a very low setting. The color may look as if it is changing, but it will come back upon cooling.
· DIPLOMA PICK UP:
>> Please stop by the main office to pick up your diploma in the days following graduation. Hours are 7:30am to 3:30pm Monday thru Friday. Bring your blue diploma cover to diploma pickup.
>> Once you are a graduate, you must check in at the main office any time you stop by LHS. Graduates may not roam the halls or hang out anywhere on campus after June 2.
>> We do not mail diplomas. Diplomas may only be picked up by the graduate. They must be signed for as they are a legal document.
>> Graduates only receive one copy of their diploma. Keep it in a safe place. We can’t reprint diplomas.
· SCHOOL GOOGLE EMAIL AND GOOGLE DRIVE:
>> These go away after you graduate, so please move any important documents you have in your school email or drive to your personal drive. Things like resume, cover letter, letters of recommendation, etc. that you may need in the future.
· OREGON PROMISE AND FAFSA:
>> There is still time to apply! The deadline is June 1, 2026. If you think you are going to attend a community college in Oregon in the Fall, remember to take advantage of this great opportunity. You will not be eligible to apply after June 1.
· FINAL TRANSCRIPT:
>> Are you going to college next year? If so, please let our registrar know which school you will be attending. Four-year colleges need to have a final high school transcript on file that proves you graduated from high school. Once you graduate, our registrar will mail or email (depending on requirements) official transcripts directly to the college admissions offices. Please make these requests by June 3, 2026.

If you have not picked up your cap and gown, you can do that on Friday 05/29 from 7:30 to 3:00.
